The twins wanted to fish for Bats before school starts in a couple weeks so we hit The Cave on Friday morning and set up Shop.

It was low tide and filling in fast so we were hoping for players. Max has his casting skills dialed in pretty well and he wasted no time sending out a whole squid :)

They brought their bass rods too and tossed around a BH Swim Bait for no love :(

Around Noon the motorhomes started filling in and the peace and quiet quickly disappeared . We did have a few bass make our clickers chirp a few times to get the blood pressure excited and I lost a Spotty on my bass rod, but at 2:20 we called it a day and headed home. No Bats but a nice relaxing start to a beautiful weekend. Hope to have a Cyclops report next weekend ;)

Killer picture, can't wait for your boat report. We got skunked yesterday on the Lil' Bit

Bat fishing in the bay, particularly that spot during the day, is really tough in the summer months.

Max’s form is looking good, too bad no players. Good luck next week, mahi are scattered all around. They just caught one while bass fishing shallow on the half-day out of Dana.

Yep, a tough spot during the day and even the night as of late. All of the bats have been in Mariner's Cove as of late from the intel I got.
You are so overdue for a big bat.... lol
