Were they all minus ones? Sounded like you were at -23 before you got that 34 inch as a +1 to make the final evening count at -22.
Haaaaaaa.   ;)

Salt Water Shore Fishing Reports / Went Small
« on: March 29, 2015, 01:14:12 PM »
I was pretty beat up this morning and didn't want to deal with the crew races, but I did anyway.  I brought 3 small rods to pick up some corvine, bass and halibut.

I started with the spook and had a few smaller needle fish pop me.  I then get a big hit and it was a pretty big needlefish.

Damn, I'd figure myself cursed for the day and I then get the right blow up!  Classic explosion and fight until I got him close enough before he took a sportsman's release.  Only a 16-17" model, so it wasn't anything special.

As the light started to head up in the sky, I realized that I may be cursed.  There was even drowned rats inhabiting the beach.

It got light and I switched to the swimmy.  I started with a dark green back/orange belly MC I got at the show yesterday and picked up 5 fish from 10" - 14"

I went through a couple of swimmies before switching over to the light blue bay smelt.  I picked up 3 to 16" and called it the day.

Fun few hours of fishing and I ran to Dana to get some reel hardware.  The bay was PACKED!  That was it for me.  I picked up my stuff and headed out east to kick my feet up and take a little siesta!

Bummer.  Soon as things lay down, we will start seeing some surf catches from you and the other guys, no doubt.  Glad you finally got back out there.   8)

Not really.  I bpought some River2Sea lures as well as some trout stuff and plenty of small swimmy's.  Also picked up some sabikis.  The two custom rods and 3 reels I bought earlier just broke the bank.  lol

Here are a couple of examples.

I got there 30 minutes early and was still 300-400 people back in line!

Well, I wasn't going to go, but I wanted to get some P-Soul business cards out there and talk to some of the vendors and try and get our name out there.  It was a very nice meeting a bunch of vendors and trip adventure folk and I even bumped into a bunch of Hooligans that I knew.   ;)

I played with a lot of the new gear and got to check a lot of new cool things out.  There was much more in the way of vendors there this year, but it seemed like there were some decent deals to be had.

I even got to watch a few Duck Races.  ???

I bought some gear, but not much and saw a bunch of good friends as well as making some new ones in the process.  Before I knew it, I was there for almost 6 hours and my back and leg just had it.  2 pain killers and 2 beers definitely helped until it all wore off.  LOL

Until next Year!  Adios!

I will definitely be checking them out, Mike.  I have a bunch I use all the time, but I'm always open to an upgrade if I find something better.

I've been very fortunate also.  If nothing is done by eBay, just leave a fair review of what happened.  Try to leave emotion out since most people looking to buy any items and read the reviews will find that much more helpful in their decision to go with them or not in the future.

Hope all works out for you.  If not, epoxy the crack or try to make it work.  Tough when buying things online.

That is one fine piece of art you made there Chris.  Very well done once again!   8)

Thanks for the updates on it also.  It is great to see a project like that unfold.

Hope you get into them Adam, will be looking forward to the report.
Im house sitting for my parents for the rest of the week and watching their puppy.

Puppies need fresh air, exercise, and socialization. Why don't you take the pup to the beach ;D
Because dogs at the beach suck.

I second that... signed The Curmudgeon's next door neighbor. lol
