Maiden trip on the 'Little Bit'
« on: July 25, 2023, 03:51:03 PM »
First fish on the 'Little Bit', we also caught a 21" halibut and missed several solid bites.  Dad's getting tired, thinking it's the last time I wake him up at 4:30.  He's sleeping at his computer.  It hurts my heart to see him this way, if not for Theresa  taking him on the boat couldn't happen. He had to crawl on his hands and knees to get out at the ramp (he'll be 98 in six weeks) I named the boat after my late granddaughter, fish in peace baby girl.  On a bright side EVERY THING works perfect.  Bait tank, FF, VHF and the engine ran perfect

Great to hear the boat is working on all cylinders! Kind of a tough realization with dad. Though I will happily join him in retiring from 0430 wakeup calls.

So Happy for you guys, Verne!  What a wonderful way to spend all together on the Lil Bit.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

I know what you mean Tim, he'll be 98 in about 6 weeks.  I'm praying he gets at least this summer on the boat
